Cyberpunk 2077 Error 2000 is a REDlauncher connection error.
The launcher cannot reach CD PROJEKT RED authentication servers.
Check your internet, disable any VPN or proxy, or wait if servers are down.

Common Causes
- CD PROJEKT RED servers down or under maintenance
- VPN or proxy blocking the launcher connection
- Windows Firewall or antivirus blocking REDlauncher
- DNS resolution failure
- Corrupted REDlauncher files
How to Fix It

Check server status
Go to the CD PROJEKT RED server status page or Downdetector.
If servers are down, wait 15-30 minutes and try again.

Disable VPN or proxy
If you use a VPN, disconnect it completely.
Open Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy and make sure no proxy is configured.
Relaunch Cyberpunk 2077 and try again. -
Add REDlauncher to firewall exceptions
Open Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app through Firewall.
Click Change Settings, then Allow another app.
Browse to REDlauncher.exe and add it.
Temporarily disable your antivirus and retest. -
Flush DNS cache
Press Win+R, type cmd, and run as Administrator.
Type: ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
Restart your router and launch the game again. -
Verify or reinstall game files
In Steam, right-click Cyberpunk 2077 > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity.
If on GOG, use the Verify/Repair option in GOG Galaxy.
If errors persist, uninstall and reinstall the game.
