Common Causes
- Internal flow generator motor fault

How to Fix It

Check and replace the air intake filter.
The gray foam filter on the back of the machine should be replaced every 6 months.
A severely blocked filter starves the motor of air and can cause it to overheat and fault. -
Power cycle the machine.
Unplug from the mains for 60 seconds.
Plug back in and try to start a therapy session.
If Error 1000 returns immediately, the fault is persistent. -
Do not attempt to open or repair the machine yourself.
ResMed CPAPs are sealed units.
Opening the case voids the warranty and can create a safety hazard. -
