E01
Breville Pressure Cooker
Severity: ModerateWhat it means
E01 on the Breville Fast Slow Pro means the appliance detected a fault with its internal temperature sensor.
The unit cannot safely regulate heat without accurate temperature readings, so it stops operation.
E01 is occasionally caused by a temporary sensor misread, but repeated E01 usually indicates a hardware fault.

How to Fix It
-
Unplug and allow to cool
Press Stop on the control panel, then unplug the unit from the wall.
Allow it to cool completely for at least 10 minutes on a flat, open surface before attempting a reset. -
Inspect the inner pot and heating plate
Remove the inner pot and look at the heating plate in the base.
Check for moisture, food spills, or debris near the temperature sensor area.
Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
Moisture near the sensor can cause false E01 readings. -
Ensure the inner pot is seated correctly
Replace the inner pot, pressing it firmly and evenly into the base.
A slightly tilted inner pot can create uneven contact with the heating element, which may trigger a temperature sensor fault. -
Plug back in and test
Plug the unit back in and run a short Slow Cook or Sauté cycle with a small amount of water.
If E01 clears and the unit heats normally, the issue was transient. -
Contact Breville support if E01 persists
A recurring E01 that returns on every cycle indicates the temperature sensor itself is faulty.
This is not a user-serviceable component.

The unit may qualify for warranty replacement.
