Error E1

Worx Robotic Lawn Mower

Severity: Moderate

What it means

Error E1 on Worx Landroid means the blade is blocked.
Power off the mower, turn it over, remove the obstruction from the cutting deck, and restart.

How to Fix It

  1. Power off the mower

Press and hold STOP until the mower switches off completely.
Never touch the blade area while the mower is powered on.

  2. Turn the mower upside down

Lay the Landroid on its back on a flat, stable surface.

  3. Remove blade obstruction

Clear any grass clumps, sticks, wire, or debris from around the cutting blade and under the deck.
Wear gloves as the blades are sharp.

  4. Spin the blade by hand

    Rotate the blade disc manually.
    It should move freely.
Stiffness or grinding may indicate a damaged blade or motor bearing.

  5. Inspect the blade disc

Check that all individual cutting blades are present, undamaged, and pivot freely on their pivot pins.
Replace any cracked or bent blades.

  6. Restart and test

Turn the mower right way up, power it on, and let it run for a few minutes.
Monitor for recurrence of Error E1.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes Error E1 on Worx Landroid?

Error E1 is triggered when the blade motor detects excessive resistance.
The most common causes are grass clippings compacted under the deck, sticks, stones, or a worn blade dragging.

How often should I clean under the Landroid deck?

Clean under the cutting deck every 1–2 weeks during the mowing season.
Built-up grass compacts over time and increases the risk of Error E1.

Can Error E1 damage the Landroid motor?

Repeated blocked-blade events can shorten the blade motor life.
Keep blades clean and replace worn cutting blades every season or as recommended by Worx.
